Had slow growth in last pregnancy is it starting again?

So I already have growth scans scheduled for 30, 34 and 38 weeks. I had my 20 week scan on Monday and all measurements were actually 19 weeks +0 despite being 20+1 based on the 12 week scan. Does it look like growth is starting to slow again? Or would it not happen yet? I was always around 5th centile last time and got induced at 36+3 when growth seemed to have dropped below 1st centile. The pregnancy was stressful and the first few weeks of life with dd were difficult, she failed to thrive, got jaundiced and then bronchiolitis and spent a good chunk of time in hospital.
Has anyone had experience of measuring behind in the 20 week scan and baby catching up? Am I overthinking just because of my experience last time?
TIA

I was in a similar situation. Restricted growth in last pregnancy which resulted in a nicu stay and then also an admission for bronchiolitis. This time at 20 week scan all measurements were 6 days behind which sonographer said was in normal range. At 24 week scan they said measurements overall were below the 5th with one measurement below the 3rd. Since then baby has gradually crept up the centile scale and now at 34 weeks is almost on the 25th. Consultant said the measurements at 24 weeks could have been a mistake or it could just have been because babies don’t always grow linearly.

I don’t think anyone can say one way or the other at this stage but I don’t think there’s any need to worry unduly over one set of measurements (easy for me to say I know!). Obviously discuss with your midwife as to whether you should get any additional growth scans. I have had scans every two weeks since 24 weeks - not actually sure whether it makes things better or worse!

Thank you! Glad to hear someone else has experienced similar even though its a rubbish thing to experience.

Thanks for some reassurance there. Hopefully the same will happen to me and baby just jumps up the centiles when we get to that point.
Tha ks again 🙂
