Has anyone had covid in pregnancy. I'm 18 weeks and so paranoid the baby will be okay. I feel ok just a bit coldly

I did at 21 weeks. Now 26 weeks. All fine, baby is kicking away. I never had more than very mild cold symptoms for about 3 days. Have you been vaccinated?

My 4 year old has just tested positive, no symptoms I just tested it as half his classmates are off with it. I'm 22 weeks so I'll let you know how I get on 🙈

I also tested positive at 18 weeks. I had cold symptoms for 2 days and then felt fine. I am now 22 weeks and my 20 scan was all good. If it’s any help, my consultant said the second trimester is the best time to get it in pregnancy.

I recently had it at 26 weeks, gotta say it hit me like a tonne of bricks with vomiting etc the first day. I had a check up at 28 weeks and generally all is well other than being booked in for an extra check up as measuring small and also anaemia. Both of which I suspect were issues pre covid.

I had it at 34 weeks. Was rough and unwell for 10 days. 38 weeks now and baby is active and ok on growth scans.

Had at 12 weeks back in August. Wasn’t delta but one of the earlier strains. Was unvaccinated and I was ill for two weeks and took another two weeks to be back to normal. Baby has been absolutely fine, am
now 35 weeks, growth, everything has been normal

My friend had it in 2nd trimester after only 1 vaccine and was very poorly, needed a few days in hospital for oxygen and treatment with blood thinners, and was breathless for weeks, even after she delivered the baby.

But anyone who's fully vaccinated by the time they catch it will almost certainly be fine.
Make sure you let your midwife know so they can factor it in to your blood clot risk assessment, and get well soon.

I had it last week at 41 weeks (being induced as we speak). It was a sore throat for a day, a blocked nose for 2 days and then have been fine since, baby is great too, if reluctant to get out!. I’ve had both doses of the vaccine and the booster.
