Nothing on scan, but womb lining is thick? - anyone gone through similar!

So Sunday I called my dr about some cramps I was having. Just thought they were strange & I over worry. He sent me to the early pregnancy unit to just make sure everything’s ok.
I’ve had loads of positive pregnant tests, I had an emergency scan this evening. They calculated I was 6weeks 4 days although I’m breastfeeding my little boy & my periods are irregular. My last period was 10th December.
There was nothing on the transvaginal scan, she said my womb lining looks thick, which is a good sign. So I could just be early pregnancy because of my irregular periods.
They can’t rule out eptopic without the bloods.
I’m having bloods tomorrow to measure my HCG levels.
I’ve got a re scan a week today.

Has anyone gone through similar. I’m so worried.
Anyone know what a thick womb lining means?
So so worried as you can imagine.
Just want some positive stories really.

I have had similar - was meant to be 6wks but nothing on scan, told it was a pregnancy of unknown location, possibly ectopic and this was really upsetting. Follow up scan a week later showed fluid, another week later some growth, and the following week more growth but they couldn’t tell me for sure the pregnancy was unviable until another week. They kept saying the same thing that my lining was extremely thick and there was a lot of blood supply supporting the growth which seemed to confuse them. A doctor told me that early pregnancy is ‘like voodoo’, as hard as it is try and take each day at a time as waiting is literally the only thing you can do until things reveal themselves. Fingers crossed for you I know it’s the most worrying horrible time 🤞 x

Thank you for responding. How did it turn out for you. I should hear the blood results today & fingers crossed they are all ok.
I’m perhaps just thinking I’m very early. As I know they base things on last period. Although my cycle isn’t 28 days.. it’s 36/37..
Hoping to see the scan on Tuesday and there’s something there.
Positives on pregnancy tests are coming up darker and quicker which they wasn’t.
Just such a worrying stage x

Exactly it really could be that it’s earlier than you thought. I am still in the dark as have final scan tomorrow when they said they will know based on the growth from last week, I’m not hopeful as I was very very clear with dates and I’ve had cramping/some bleeding and the growth last week wasn’t what they’d ‘like to see’. But at the same time I just wanted to reassure you as they STILL wouldn’t rule out a viable pregnancy because everyone is different, the doctor told me she sees things every week that surprise her or contradict the rule book! And she’s been there for 8 years.

I’ve was so unprepared for this scenario so it’s so important to talk about. Really hope your blood results bring reassurance 🙏 keep positive x

@BabyG201 hi, this same thing happened to me tonight, I have pcos and unsure of how far on I am, I went for an early scan and there was nothing there at all, she said my endometrial was 19mm thick which she said is a good sign in early pregnancy, but I've to phone early pregnancy Monday morning for a scan to make sure it is not an ectopic pregnancy? Very worried x

This happened to me! I am now 29 weeks.... I was too early when they originally scanned, HCG taken (which increased but didn't double) and they scanned me 2 weeks later to see a little heartbeat !! Good luck 🤞🏼♥️

Update : I had a scan 2 weeks ago which showed a thickened womb lining, had a scan on Tuesday this week and we saw a gestational sac, got another scan on Monday, hoping to see a yolk sac & fetal pole 🤞🏼 My gestational sac measured 7mm .. I’m thinking it’s just been too early, send me positive dust!

Progression. Last week there was a thickened womb & then this week a gestational sac 🤞🏼 So I’m hoping everything is well!
Hope your pregnancy is going well 😊 do you know what you’re having?
I already have a little boy, who will be 2 in April 🤍

@BabyG201 hiya, thank you so much ♥️ I went for a scan on Wednesday there and they said we try and abdominal one first and then if we see nothing we do transvaginal, I was quite sceptical tbh about the abdominal one but she seen a sac straight away with it, she then done a transvaginal one just to see better and she saw a yolk sac aswell. She said that the gestational sac was measuring at 6 weeks exactly and I said is that not concerning though that it's only a yolk sac but she said that with pcos and very early pregnancy everything is really just an estimate; she said I could be anything from 5 weeks and 3 days to 6 weeks and 3 days but I think on Wednesday I was 5 weeks and 4 days from calculations. I don't know if I'm still worried about the gestational sac being 6 weeks but no fetal pole but she said everything definitely looks fine just now, I'm back on the 18th just to see if I've made progress so fingers crossed for good news xxx
