With my first 2 pregnancies both girls I didn't get morning sickness until 10 weeks, then it was gone by 12, the smell of beans and coffee bought it on with both pregnancies.

This pregnancy I've started with terrible morning sickness at 4 weeks, I'm 17dpo today.. I did get a bfp at 8dpo and it was confirmed the same day with a clear blue digital. I've never had a bfp that early either and ovulation day of implantation day is correct so I'm not further than I am.

I am a lot older in my 30's my youngest is 13 so maybe that could be a reason.

And tips welcome.

14dpo I got a 2-3 weeks on a clear blue digital.

Congratulations @Jayjane79

I actually posted yesterday asking for tips with early nausea.
I’m a few days behind you 😊
I tested at 10dpo, I tested with a first response and the line was so strong, I was pretty shocked tbh!
Since about 9dpo I feel nauseous all the time, it’s kept at bay a little if I eat but only for about 10mins then it’s back.
Oh and the bloating oh my gosh, I looked about 5 months pregnant yesterday not 4 weeks 🤣
I’m 35 but have no idea if age is a factor with sickness.
Are you actually being sick?

Hopefully someone comes on and helps us out

I'm nearly 11 weeks and my morning sickness started about 4 1/2 weeks in and it was bloody awful! Couldn't even open the fridge without being sick! The only thing that ever seemed to help was drinking lots of water with ice, and I mean constantly drinking it Grin and the one thing I found which never came back up were bananas! So I'd eat one just before I went to bed and then as soon as I get up and throughout the day!

Luckily it all seemed to ease off at about 9 weeks so I was definitely lucky there! I still have my moments where something makes me gag but I'd rather that then glued to the toilet!!

As for bloating I looked pregnant from 6 weeks, went to see my midwife recently because i didn't think it was normal, she felt bump and had said I'd already popped and it's starting to harden but it still is bloat too. She also did kindly follow it up with her thinking I'm going to have a massive babyConfused

Definitely just one! Had an early scan at 5 weeks as they thought it could've been ectopic, and then I had a private scan at 7 1/2 weeks and the scanner had to double check it was just one - both times just the one Grin

I’m so happy that I’m pregnant :)
One of the best feelings, isn't it! x
JMPB · 25/01/2022 11:25

I’m 12 weeks into my first pregnancy, still being sick now, which started at 4 weeks .. no signs of it easing up yet 😩 praying it gets better as I get into my second trimester

Jillian45 · 25/01/2022 11:32

I know these next nine months will be special :)

miltonj · 25/01/2022 11:37

This was me with my daughter! it lasted till 16 weeks too! And was almost unbearable. Hope it's not as bad as that for you. 11 weeks now with my second and I'm being sick often, but started much later and no where near as bad.... I couldn't move of the setee, even to turn the heating on, so I laid on my own on the cold!

Jayjane79 · 25/01/2022 11:55

My pregnancy tests have been so strong from 8dpo. With all this HCG I'm destined get horrendous morning sickness. I just didn't think it would start at 4 weeks 😭

@graceyloren I’ve read the ice water thing quite a lot so it must be a thing.

I found out my BFP on my birthday which was lovely but I think I’m going to be stressed till I actually see the tiny bean on a scan

Does anyone exercise regularly? Are you continuing to do so?

graceyloren · 25/01/2022 12:03

@Samthenanny definitely! For some bizarre reason I think it's also better drank through a straw!

Chanel05 · 25/01/2022 13:16

Congratulations! Maybe it's a boy this time !

That would be lovely with having 2 girls but I'm happy regardless as long as happy and healthy.

Could be twins OP

cherrytreecottage · 25/01/2022 15:33

I'm 8+5 and have the worst "morning sickness" which started at around 5 weeks.
For the first week I genuinely couldn't eat anything, was being sick 4+ times a day, was having frequent dizzy spells. I've managed to find bits I can keep down - rich tea biscuits, plain hula hoops, apples and bananas. The iced water is a dream!! Mines not so severe now (sick once or twice a day, nausea in afternoons & evenings instead of from the second I wake up) but still praying for the day it's gone!

I ordered some ginger melts from My Expert Midwife in desperation after reading good reviews. Found them helpful but struggled with the texture as they're chalky.

graceyloren · 25/01/2022 17:07

@cherrytreecottage rich tea were a gift from the gods at the start! Ginger biscuits were helpful too but eventually I couldn't eat them! Hopefully it goes for you soon so you can enjoy being pregnant without all the sickness!

I'm now addicted to Jubbily ice lollies and ice pops, so so so good! Smile

Yeah I'm struggling with the ginger biscuits for some reason!

Ah jubbly lollies, my freezer is full of them at the minute Grin and rocket lollies!
