Hi,

I have a csection booked for next Friday!

I'm interested to know if you've had a csection previously, what do you recommend I take to help with recovery?

Thanks in advance! X

How exciting!
Pack massive (high waisted, comfy knickers),
Loose waisted trousers,
Easy tops (vests) if planning to BF,
Peppermint tea for the trapped wind,
A handheld fan (because the labour ward is hotter than the sun!!),
Lots of snacks and sports cap drinks,
Nappies, vests, babygrows, hat for the baby.
And have podcasts or a film or some TV img downloaded on your phone in case you can’t sleep (the ward can be quite noisy - I think mine was the one making all the noise to be fair!!)
Good luck, my elective section was absolutely perfect and am opting for another one with my second.
I hope all goes smoothly for you

Massive pants that go way higher than your scar, in a big size. Comfy, loose clothes with a high waist. Good luck!
