Wondered if anyone has any advise/experience with this happening to them that can help me?

Im 12 weeks pregnant tomorrow, I had a bowel movement (no straining involved) and immediately afterwards wiped my vagina and found that I was bleeding bright red blood (more than spotting I would say) and also had a largish red clot (about 1 inch long)
It was also definitely from my vagina and not anus, and I didn’t strain to do the bowel movement.

I also had this happen just over a week ago (exact same circumstances) and had a scan at the epu and baby was fine and they could see no cause for the bleeding on the scan.
But it’s now happened again and is substantially more blood than last time, it has stopped now about half an hour later but it was definitely what I would describe as more than spotting and the clot was concerning obviously!
It’s also not every time I have a bowel movement, seems very random and as I say I’m not constipated or straining to go.

I also had a gastric bypass 18 months ago but I don’t think it’s related to that?

I have my booking in phone call with my midwife tomorrow afternoon so I’m obviously waiting to speak to her tomorrow, and I have my 12 week scan on Friday.
Just wondered if this may have happened to anyone else?

Could be nothing but anything like this give your maternity dept a call. Let them know and see what they say.
Hope everything is ok
