I am 5 weeks today with our second baby and other than a few twinges and cramps I have no symptoms! I remember with our first I didn’t get the nausea for a few weeks but I went off certain foods straight away because they repulsed me, especially coffee and tea. I haven’t even gone off coffee yet! I obviously want to feel normal but it also makes me panic that something is wrong. Is it just too early? When did your symptoms start?

I'm in the same boat!

I'm 5+2 and have nothing yet and don't like it!

Tiredmum31111 · 24/01/2022 09:34

Enjoy feeling normal and hope it stays like that. With my previous pregnancies never had any significant nausea so presumed this one would be the same at 5weeks I genuinely could forget I was pregnant. Then 6 weeks hit and boom floored me! Nausea most days and sick on some nothing like my previous. So don't worry, hope you're one of the lucky ones that avoids it :) time will tell xx

HW1989 · 24/01/2022 09:34

Besides slight twinges in boobs and stomach right at the beginning (which is what made me take the test) I didn’t get anything else until 8 weeks (nausea), and even then it was very mild until about 10 weeks when it hit hard along with headaches until about 15 weeks.

Same here! I'm 4w1d and just some cramping. I know it's very early so not getting too concerned. It's so strange this in between stage that no one really talks about before it happens to you! The anxiety and the waiting! Like most people will say we should probably enjoy it before any symptoms do come 😅 xx

Lauren0902 · 24/01/2022 10:42

4w1d first pregnancy and unexpected - i had vomiting, sore breasts, huge nipples, stuffy nose, bleeding nose, high temperature, bleeding gums - i was a mess!

holdonbaby · 24/01/2022 18:39

@Tiredmum31111 was this gender different to the others for the extreme change in symptoms?
I'm very curious!

strawberrysummer19 · 24/01/2022 18:45

7 weeks for me came nausea which peaked at 9 weeks onwards and is only just dieing down at 14wks tomorrow.
I've had bad skin come on at 10wks
Extreme tiredness which I still have
Had line on belly - can't remember the name from 8 wks or so
Little bumps on my nipples which I had to Google as never heard of them and they were normal!
Bloating constipation and aches, pains which have made me worry over the weeks but they come and go
Also symptoms come and go which I've read is normal x

Pesimistic · 24/01/2022 19:25

With both my boy pregnancies I have had hardly any syntoms, besides a positive test and feeling movements later on, qith my girl pregnancy it was around 6-8 weeks

Tiredmum31111 · 24/01/2022 19:35

@holdonbaby well I have 2 girls now and only 9 weeks at the moment so I suppose we will see 😆 I can't actually imagine producing anything other than a girl ha. I'll try report back when I know! Xx

ThisOneNow · 24/01/2022 19:46

1st and 3rd (DD and DS) I was pretty confident that I was pregnant about 2 days before my period was due because of tiredness and painful breasts. DC2 I didn't get many symptoms until about week 6.

dg93 · 24/01/2022 19:46

No symptoms until 19 weeks, and that was joint and back pain. Never had sickness/nausea etc.

holdonbaby · 24/01/2022 20:45

@Tiredmum31111 ah ok, I'm thinking this one's a boy then!

NotVictorianHonestly · 24/01/2022 20:47

29 weeks Grin zilch before that.

MrsG2021 · 24/01/2022 20:58

I’m nearly 5 weeks and feeling exactly the same as you. I had some twinges about a week ago before I did the test and have sore boobs but apart from that I feel fine. I have suffered a bit with insomnia and restless legs for the last week so not sure if that could be a symptom? I just want some reassurance that everything is ok as I don’t feel that different but I’m sure that if/when the nausea hits, the symptoms won’t seem so desirable!

LiG123 · 24/01/2022 21:21

None at all with dc1 and 2 days after conceiving wjth dc2

Samthenanny · 25/01/2022 09:25

Pregnant with my first, 4 weeks and I had sore boobs and a headache about 5 days before AF was due and have felt nauseous from about 9dpo and still have it and the fatigue oh my goodness

Mummyh14 · 02/02/2022 12:33

With my daughter I only had about 6 weeks a faint feeling while in the bath/shower couldn’t breathe. Only reason I did a test a few days before my period was because I had a strong feeling.

With my son, I felt slightly sick about 7dpo then that weekend I had a really light period, Monday came went out for my birthday meal, randomly couldn’t stomach the food threw up when I got home.

Dyra · 02/02/2022 13:37

Hopefully you're feeling a bit less worried about things by now, but I was you 26 weeks ago (also on second child). All I was a bit fatigued. All the nausea and bloating kicked in at 11 weeks after I'd been twisting myself into knots for weeks about the lack of symptoms. Now I have plenty to spare.

Moonshine160 · 02/02/2022 14:06

I am now 6+1 and still not feeling many symptoms! I’ve got a reassurance scan booked in 10 days time so I think I’ll be worrying until then.

Dyra · 02/02/2022 14:15

Completely understand. Early pregnancy is definitely a damned if you do (have symptoms) and damned if you don't situation. And it feels like there's no in-between! Best of luck at your scan. Hopefully you'll develop some reassuring symptoms (but not too strong or too mild!) before then. If you fancy some heartburn, I've got plenty to spare.

Mummyh14 · 02/02/2022 14:16

@Moonshine160 oo I get why your worrying, but don’t worry too much as I said I had nothing but a bit of faintness with my first, if it wasn’t for the feeling that made me do the test I’d have probably gone until the next period without realising even then I didn’t track and worked a lot so not sure I’d have noticed even then... That was a healthy pregnancy. Some people just don’t get symptoms, your kinda lucky in that way! Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy.

DramaAlpaca · 02/02/2022 14:17

With all my three I knew a couple of days before my period was due. I had a weird metallic taste in my mouth and my sense of smell went crazy.
