Tips for first trimester and beyond?

Hi all

Hope everyone is doing wonderfully today!

I’m currently 9+4, first pregnancy and finally getting used to the idea that I might actually be having a baby! Which has come with the realisation that I have next to no idea what I can/should be doing at this stage.

I’m taking my vitamins, doing my pelvic floor exercises and… well that’s about it…!

So I wanted to ask what you all would give as your top tips for a first timer? What do you wish you had known at this stage? What things did you do in your first trimester (and beyond) which helped make your pregnancies/birth/recovery as smooth as possible? What products do you swear by (if anyone has top tips for bloating and sensitive nipples I might actually build a shrine to you!),

Really interested to hear all your experiences 😊

Thanks!

Use sunscreen on your face as soon as it gets warm in the Spring. Pregnancy hormones make some people’s skin very sensitive to the sun.

I would say the biggest thing I wish I did was ask for more help - I really suffered with nausea for weeks and I wish I called the GP sooner for some relief! Also rely on colleagues, friends and family if they offer help!

I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well! Sounds like you’re doing all the right things so far Flowers
