Bleeding and clots only in morning. 7 weeks pregnant.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any similar experiences. I started spotting a week ago, only pink when I wiped and only in morning. By lunchtime it would stop. I went to EPU on Thursday as was still spotting pink but by this point in morning one or two tiny clots were also coming out. Once the clots had come out it would stop.
The last two days when I get up it’s red blood not pink and more of it and clots are slightly bigger. Once the clots come out the bleeding stops for the rest of the day. The EPU said baby was measuring exactly 6 weeks 5 days, could see heartbeat, but she could see some more bleeding that had to come out.
It’s just worrying me a little that it’s getting more blood each morning but really odd that once the clot comes out that morning (which is normally first wee of the day after a couple of wipes) I have no more bleeding for the rest of the day.

Would be good to hear any other experiences of anything similar.

I am currently 14 weeks nearly and at 6 weeks I lost a lot of blood. I went to the epu and was told baby had a heartbeat and they could still see blood that had to come down. Anyway at 9 weeks on Boxing Day I woke up and bled heavy again and went to epu again to be told they cld see where I had bled from and there was now a bleed above the babies sack. So two weeks ago I bled again and this time had very strong aching contractions and then had a really horrible one and when I sat on the toilet I passed a clot the size of a 50p. Phoned epu again and they told me they wouldn't see me for passing a clot of this size. Anyway I had to wait til the following week for my 12 week scan to see if all was ok, I attended my scan on the 17th which was Monday just gone and baby was fine. They couldn't see the bleed above the sack but said there was bleeding low down in the uterus. I have bled now for two weeks every time I wipe and spotting into pads every single day. If you look up subchronic hemetomas I think it is this. I know exactly how you are feeling and can tell you that you are ok. Here is my baby from my 12 week scan but also baby was measuring nearly 13 weeks as well xx

@rita83 thank you for your reply. It’s good to hear someone going through a similar thing and baby is all ok.
I’ve done a lot of googling today and it kept coming up with subchronic hemetomas, but it seems to be diagnosed a lot in USA. I struggled to find much on it in the UK.
The lady at EPU said she could see bleeding that still would probably come out and was probably left over implantation bleeding. I was happy with that, it’s just worried me it’s got a bit heavier. It’s just such a worrying time when you see red blood or clots. I’m glad everything is going ok for you. Did they mention to you anything about progesterone tablets or anything?

Hya @TiredMum01 I had a big bush of bleeding when I was 6 weeks and thought I had a chemical pregnancy as I had suffered two of these before this pregnancy. Then it only last a couple of hours but then when I was just over 9 weeks I got up out of bed in the Morning and loads of blood came out again and was dripping everywhere. Then I had another bleed two weeks ago when I had passed a clot. This was horrible as my body was contracting as well. Had really strong aching especially in the bottom of my back.
I still had blood inside which is sitting in the uterus and this was two weeks ago and I have been spotting ever since. I got up this morning for instance had a pad on and hasn't had anything until half 12 so not that long ago and was dripping into the toilet but the blood is like a deep red dark red then. It is so draining and me and my husband just haven't enjoyed this pregnancy at all! I already have three girls as well and never had this with any of them.
No they haven't said anything to me about progesterone tablets and to be honest every time I went to epu they didn't seem overly bothered about what I had been experiencing either.

I’m so glad baby is ok for you.

Do they have any idea what is causing the bleeding?

No they don't even know what has caused it and why it is there. Just been relentless though from 6 weeks on and off and I am now 14 weeks! I am hoping when I go to my 20 week scan they say there isn't any more bleeding in there x

@rita83 fingers crossed it’s all gone by your 20 week scan. I’m hoping by my 12 week scan they will be able to see if all my bleeding has gone.
I know how hard it is to enjoy pregnancy when you keep bleeding as your constantly end up worrying. Fingers crossed it stops for you soon

Yes it is a worry @TiredMum01 are you still bleeding at the moment? How long have u been bleeding for and is it just red or changing colour. Mine has gone from bright red, really dark red and brown on the tissue when I wipe the last few days. X

@rita83 it’s very odd I am only bleeding when I wake up and go for my first wee of the day. It started over a week ago and was only pink. The last three days have been red. But after I go to the loo and wipe it away I have no more blood for the rest of the day. I’m just finding it odd it’s only first thing surely if there was blood to come out it should be coming out slowly all day. but I’m hoping that’s good and will hopefully stop in the next few days.
The lady who scanned me all she said was she could see bleeding and guessed it could be left over implantation bleeding 🤷🏻‍♀️

@rita83 it’s good yours has turned to brown though must be starting to stop for you

I have had periods where it stops and then starts and is worse when I go to the toilet. Mine has been coming out for over two weeks now. So annoying. I just keep thinking there can only be so much blood in there to come out. Just hope I am not bleeding all the way through. Have to let me know how you get on. Do you know your date for your 12 weeks scan yet x

@TiredMum01 how did you get on? I'm in same position now? Been bleeding since Sunday but only on a morning. Currently 13 weeks.

@Amyp1234 I bled every week on and off until about 13 weeks I think. I had an early scan and they could see an area of bleeding, I think it was called a Subchorionic Hematoma. I then paid for another scan around 10 weeks and they could still see it but it was getting smaller. At 12 weeks they could barely see it. Then it just stopped. Baby was fine and is here with me now.
have you had 12 week scan yet?

I had my 12 week scan last Wednesday and then another scan on Sunday as I had the first bleed. I did have the SCH, but they said they couldn't see it on my 12 scan otherwise I would have put it down to that. EPU won't scan me again as I've had 2 scan within the week. Just don't know what to do.

@Amyp1234 aww it’s such a tough worrying time. What have they told you to do? Is it constant bleeding or on and off?
if they did see a SCH on second scan hopefully it will go away once it’s all come out.

Haven't said to do anything... it's on and off, I will spot red then quickly back to brown which stays there till I spot red again. I've been like this for 5 days now. 😪
