7 week ultrasound, twins or single & sack?

Hey, myself & my partner went for an early scan due to a UTI….
Do you think this could be twins? Or is it a single & the sac?
We just thought the ‘sac’ looked similar to the baby’s head & could possibly be hiding? I thought sacs were meant to be black due to fluid?
Any advice appreciated xxx

What did the sonographer say? At 7 weeks you'd see 2x heart beats if it were twins.

The yolk sac on the scan I had at around the same time was white and a similar size to baby's head, different angle though, was definitely just the one :)

Er well if the professional didn't spot twins doubt we will 🤷🏻‍♀️

She found the scan difficult to do & didn’t really say much but said baby’s got a strong heartbeat.

I had a scan at a similar stage in 2 out of 3 of my pregnancies. Looks like singleton to me

It's the yolk sack. It's identical to my scan at the same gestation. A twin would be in a separate fluid sack.

This was mine at 8+3 - sonographer said it was the yolk sac Smile if there was another baby they would say there were 2 and identified both heartbeats for you x

Not always if they were identical and sharing a sac and a placenta but it's rare at 7 weeks to miss one

The sonographer would tell you how many babies there are and if she had any suspicion of twins.

I had a scan at 7 weeks and immediately was told "well I can see 2 healthy heartbeats". So they would of said if they had seen twins!
