34 weeks - indigestion and back pain

My god I remember the indigestion but the back pain is new

Same area, lowish on my left hand side every evening once I relax on the sofa - it bloody kills!! Standing is the only way I can get it to go but it'll come back again after 10-15 mins

Indigestion I feel like I pop rennies for fun! Some nights I wake up chocking and think I'm going to be sick

It's horrific and can't wait for this to over now!!

Anyone have any tips?!

I had the same with the acid reflux - so horrible. C Consultant recommended a prescription for omeprazole and it has really helped - it took a few days to be fully effective but no more nighttime wake ups since I started it. I find sitting on an exercise ball has helped my hips and lower back pain.

I often wake up with heartburn and indigestion but I’m less likely to if I have 4 teaspoons of gaviscon before bed, it isn’t nice but it works!

Go to osteopath, physio or for a proper massage for the back pain.

Get checked for gallstones !

This is how mine felt when it first started - I was 19 weeks pregnant and they didn't figure out what it was until she was 5 weeks old!

Hope you are ok @redandwhite1 and it was just indigestion?

Appointment was a waste of time, they were running 45 mins late and wasn't my normal midwife as she was Ill so was very rushed

She said I could get indigestion tablets from the doctor but I literally can't be bothered to faff getting an appointment as by the time I get one the baby will basically be here, I'm just taking rennie after every meal now and seem to have it under control

As for my back, I've started getting up every 10-15 mins like I would in the day and it's not been so bad.

Not long to go and will all be a distant memory!!

Go and get yourself some liquid gaviscon. Works loads better than rennies in my opinion, I ended up just chugging it out of the bottle.
