At what point do you go in for reduced movements ?

I've been in 3 times before, all when I had no movement at all (anterior placenta).

Today I'm getting small movements, nothing too major or constant, but usually I'd see my belly moving where baby is moving and I haven't had any of that today.

So I know she's moving, but it's definitely not big movements like I'd usually expect.

Now is the time to go in.

zaffa · 21/01/2022 15:05

Any concerns or doubts I went in without fail. The consistent message has always been that you should go in for any concerns and they would much rather see you than not.
Please call and go in, it's almost certainly fine but it's not worth the risk of not being seen x

FWIW I went in three times too and they were more than happy to see me each time so please don't delay - ring them now.

LizziesTwin · 21/01/2022 15:07

Go in every time.

MoltenLasagne · 21/01/2022 15:08

Every time - they'd rather see you over something that turned out to be nothing, than not see you for something

Call them straightaway and they will tell you whether you should go in for monitoring. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been in 3 times or 30 times already but you must get checked unless a HCP tells you otherwise.

Yes every time as pps say.

dg93 · 21/01/2022 23:01

Sorry it's been a few hours!!
I took your advice and went in for a checkup - baby is doing absolutely fine thank goodness, but was just been super stubborn! X

That's great news OP. Please don't ever hesitate again - they honestly will want to see you every time x

DS used to go for looong periods of barely moving. I used to get so worried. MW suggested drinking ice cold drinks to get him moving, that did the trick Wink
