So I had contractions from around 10pm still going at 2pm they are all very close together maybe every 4 mins and had pains in lower abdomen and called hospital they told me to take a paracetamol and not to come into the hospital that it's most likely from a uti should I go to A&E anyway I feel like their blowing me off even if it was a uti I read that those contractions can cause preturm labour, anyone experienced this and ended up okay?

Definitely go to hospital! Don't let them fob you off.

Get yourself to hospital. I wouldn’t risk waiting. I know of someone who went in to early labour and they managed to stop her contractions so it might be possible for you if you’re at risk.

Go to your local maternity or early pregnancy unit right now! Hope all is okay xx

Was it triage / labour ward that you rang? I'm very surprised they're fobbing you off like that! You should definitely go to hospital I think, even if you turn up at labour ward unannounced and explain when you get there.

Hope everything goes ok Flowers

@Evanesco it was a midwife from day assessment that i spoke to and she said that even if I come in they will only check the baby's heart beat (which they did the previous day) so I'm not too worried about the baby's heart beat I was hoping they would help stop the contractions which they said they can't do anything for that, iv been looking for private clinics in the area going to head to one tomorrow as NHS are just blowing me off

If they think it's a UTI have they mentioned giving you antibiotics? Surely they should be checking your urine.
