Breech baby OVER (not under) the ribs?

I'm 38 weeks, due for a section next week, and I'm getting really worried that my baby's head is stuck OVER my rib cage. I've read a lot about people being worried that the baby's head is stuck under the ribs, but nothing that says it feels like it's stuck over it. But when I put my hand there, it feels like a head, not like my ribs. I am so worried that she is being squashed by me whenever I bend over and that her brain is squashed. I had a scan last week, and nobody said anything, but she feels so much bigger this week. Seems like a silly thing to call the maternity ward about, and also I'm not in the UK and that conversation in German is a difficult one to have.

Has anybody else had this experience with a breech baby? Was the baby okay?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

What do you mean by over your ribs? Outside them? I don’t think that’s possible. If you have worries though you should call the ward and ask to be checked.

I’m pregnant with twins currently and I sort of know what you mean.
My boy twin is sitting up high and head up, sometimes I think I feel his head jammed under my right boob, about a mm away from where my bra strap is. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, at one of my scans he was doing it and the scanning lady commented how high up he was, but not that it was a problem.
My girl twin is transverse and low down and likes to drum her heels on my bladder, I prefer what the boy twin is doing!

@bollocksthemess, yeah, that's exactly it. It feels like the baby's head is literally over my ribcage, with the ribcage underneath the head!

I had similar! I could feel DS's head up and out at the very top of my ribcage IYSWIM. It was SO uncomfortable.

He was absolutely fine. I ended up with an ELCS and he was a bit tough to get out, but no issues whatsoever.

@allfurcoatnoknickers (love your username btw - my mum says that all the time!), thanks so much - I feel more reassured. It's a weird feeling, right? I just feel like her head is totally stuck there and every time I bend down, I must be totally squishing it!
