Hi, I am 19 weeks pregnant & wondering if anyone has experienced itchy during their pregnancy? It's on & off and gets a lot worse at night, it seems to be all over my body & i get like wee bumpy spots on my body, if anyone else has had similar etc?
I have contacted my midwife but waiting on a reply & if she doesn't contact back I'm going to contact my GP but just trying to put my mind at ease for now with it if anyone has had anything sort of the same?

Not personally but my brothers gf had this when she was pregnant, a lot of women get it. I'm sure she was given calamine lotion (what's used for chicken box) to soothe the itching

I was in my first pregnancy but not in my second (currently 33 weeks) and defo was by now (hope I'm not jinxing it!)

I have since read it could be an issue with your liver (if I recall rightly) and should mention it to your MW

I had this in my second pregnancy, I saw the GP and had blood tests to rule out Cholestasis and was given anti histamines and Eurax lotion. Mine was allergic dermatitis, which I do suffer from but rarely have a flare up as long as I avoid my triggers. It was the hormones either making me more sensitive or progesterone sensitivity
