Baby engaged

I had my 32 week midwife appointment today and the baby is already 2/5 engaged. I just wondered if anyone had experience of going into labour early if the baby was engaged early? Or is there no correlation?

FTM so just curious!

My first was engaged 2/5 at 32 weeks, never knew what it ment. I went full term and waters broke at 39.5 weeks and he was born on his due date, good luck

I remember with DS he was engaged quite early on. He was born at 39+5 weeks so I don’t think there’s any correlation.

Been engaged 2/5 since 30 weeks. Measuring big, now 36 weeks and no sign

And just to give the flip side, I went into labour (on due date) without baby being engaged at all.

Fully engaged at my 28 week scan!

Now 35+1 and she's still in there. I imagined she'd be arriving really soon after the scan but pleasantly surprised she's still holding on.

I'll be honest though, I think she will be arriving soon. I have a section booked in a couple of weeks but I feel like she will make an appearance before!
