Really bad stomach pains

I'm only 8 weeks, I'm on my second day now of really bad stomach pains. Not ligament pain, and not like period pain, it's in my actual stomach not down low. Comes in waves. This isn't what a miscarriage feels like is it?

I had pretty bad stomach pains at around 7 weeks onwards, I'd probably describe them as stomach cramps. I got a scan around 7 weeks and everything was fine, they're most likely caused by the uterus expanding. Unless they're accompanied by blood I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can also call your local EPU (early pregnancy unit at the hospital) if they think it sound serious enough they'll call you in for a scan.

It's still going on and I'm feeling really lousy with it Sad it's higher up than period pains. I'm hoping it isn't pregnancy related as no blood. I had a scan in the EPU for unrelated reasons a week or so ago and everything was fine, is it worth contacting them again?

Could it be constipation?

I don't think it's constipation or gas as everything is operating in those areas.. I definitely don't remember this in my first pregnancy though and it really is hurting Sad

It might not be pregnancy related at all. It could be any number of things from appendix to UTI to virus.

Might be worth getting it checked out tbh.

I also had horrendous stomach cramps (and diarrhoea) around the same time - literally sweating, shaking, on the floor in pain - terrified me, felt like what I might get on a really nasty period or food poisoning, but only lasted the afternoon and never came back again! Get it checked out if it continues.
