Booster jab at 26 weeks pregnant. How did you feel after?

This is completely my own choice and I know it's a subject many disagree on.

I had my 2 jabs outside of pregnancy, I am now 25 weeks and have my booster booked next week for when I'll be 26 weeks. A few people in my work have been poorly with having the booster and I'm just a bit worried now I'll be the same after the jab. I didn't feel anything after my other 2, just a dead arm.

How did any of you feel after the jab? Any side affects? Poorly? I'm in work the day I have the jab and I normally have Tuesdays off that's why I booked it for the Monday, but they've swapped my day off to the Wednesday so now I'm nervous In case I'm poorly in work

I had my booster at 16 weeks and was absolutely fine after. I had Pfizer all 3 times and no side effects.

I was worried about this as well, I didn’t have any side effects apart from a sore arm

SouthwestSis · 17/01/2022 11:07

Had my pfizer booster around 25 weeks and had nothing more than a sore arm.
If it does make you feel a bit under the weather then take a half day at work or whatever you need to, no biggie.

I was about 26/27 weeks, I felt ok, just a little tired but then that could be pregnancy!!

Yorkshireswithallroasts · 17/01/2022 11:11

I had the booster at 37 weeks. I was a bit tired that evening but fine the next day. I only started my mat leave last week so worked the day after the jab and was completely ok.

Kittycat24 · 17/01/2022 11:24

I had mine at 20 weeks. My arm hurt the next day and I felt a little off with a headache but nothing too bad. I wasn't at work though.
Currently have covid at 28 weeks pregnant and have felt awful all week Sad

I haven’t had the booster yet, as it’s not been long enough, but had my first jab at 14 weeks pregnant and second at around 26 weeks pregnant. Both pfizer and the first one I was absolutely fine. Second I felt a little rundown the next day but to be honest think that was just because I was paying more attention to how I felt and also pregnancy making me feel tired in general!

Astrazeneca 1st jab - felt like i was dying
Astrazeneca 2nd jab - very tired (but pregnant so maybe that?)
3rd jab Pfizer - absolutely fine!

littlemissdozy · 17/01/2022 11:56

Both my jabs have been Pfizer. So hoping the booster is the same🙈 managed to get my shift in the Tuesday down to 4 hours. So I'll have most of the morning to relax if I need to before going into work. Thank you ladies x

A bit tired for a day. If you are not up to it you take the day off after as sick leave

alpinia · 17/01/2022 12:46

I had Pfizer last week at 29 weeks, barely any side effects except a bit of a sore arm. Had Moderna for the last 2 with much longer lasting side effects (tiredness, headaches and much more painful arm). Pleasantly surprised!

littlemissdozy · 17/01/2022 12:58

@alpinia that's what I'm afraid of! My friend had Pfizer for both her jabs and then Moderna for her booster and I think that is what is causing the issues of feeling poorly afterwards. 24 hours later she was fine. But she did say the headache was awful and she kept shivering

@littlemissdozy while I was never doubting whether to take the vaccine/ booster or not I was a little wary about the side effects, especially as I'm having a very difficult pregnancy anyway.

But, I also had covid before vaccines were available and was very unwell for months, so in the scheme of things I was alright with 2 weeks of tiredness! Can't imagine being that ill and heavily pregnant.

I understand the Moderna booster is half the original dose anyway so should be lighter than the first two jabs.

StampOnTheGround · 17/01/2022 13:34

I had Pfizer for my first 2 and Moderna booster at around 26 weeks pregnant, absolutely no side effects from any of them (bar a sore arm)

Lauren0902 · 17/01/2022 15:25

I also had my booster at 26 weeks which was only at New Year. The nurse said because i'm pregnant they would give me what vaccine i had before (Pfizer) which i had no ill effects from previously. After the booster I felt absolutely shattered for 2 days, but i'll be honest that could have just been due to pregnancy

drawthelatch · 17/01/2022 16:25

I had my third Pfizer around 28 weeks.

I was possibly slightly tireder than usual that evening, nothing more. Good luck!

TooMuchCheesecake · 17/01/2022 16:34

1st- Moderna, felt fine.
2nd- 5 weeks pregnant, Moderna, headache, fever, aching for a day afterwards.
3rd- 25 weeks pregnant, Pfizer, felt fine.
