5 week ultrasound does not look the same as others I’ve seen

I had an early ultrasound, I was dated at 5 weeks exactly at the time of the scan which was exact to when my last period was. I had been looking at other peoples scans at 5 weeks before I had the scan so I knew what to expect. On other scans there’s a dark circle with white edging inside the sac, mine has these two lines? I was asked to come back in two weeks but she didn’t say why. Now I’m worried something wasn’t right and she didn’t want to tell me until she was sure by carrying out the next scan. Has any one had anything similar? I’m wondering where there are two lines instead of a circle. (It’s a zoomed in pic)

Could it be twins?

Mine looked quite like yours at 5+1. I had a rescan to check the heartbeat had started so I think that's what yours will be for. That was DC2, all was well.

Oh I hope not twins I’d need a mini bus 😂. There’s no reason for me to suspect twins.

That’s reassuring @rainbowplease I wasn’t expecting to see a heart beat that early any way so didnt think it would be of concern. My next scan is on Tuesday so I don’t have long to wait. It’s just been playing on my mind. I had quite a few symptoms at the point of the first scan, nausea, sore boobs, needing to pee all the time and I was really itchy all over. I don’t seem to have any symptoms at all now

We had an early scan and I thought I was about 8 weeks, when I went in all she saw was similar to yours.
Turns out I was only a few days over 5 weeks - it was an inconclusive scan as they never seen a heartbeat or were able to measure baby so they ask you to come back in 2 weeks so that they can see if it was just that it was too early or whether the pregnancy isn't progressing.
They then seen baby and heartbeat and I was dated just over 7 weeks. I'm now nearly 15 weeks.

The fact they were able to date you at 5 weeks though it will be that it was too early to see the heartbeat so they ask you to come back to make sure they can see it. It's unlikely to see anything on a scan before 6 weeks so I wouldn't be worried
