Had private gender scan, worried it's wrong

Hello!
I was 17 weeks pregnant with my Ds when I had a private scan. They told me we are having a girl! We then had the NHS 20weeks scan just to find out we are actually having a boy! We could see the willy! I emailed the private clinic and after reviewing the photos again they asked us to come back and re-check free of charge. They confirmed we are having a boy and apologised saying it is usually uncommon to make that mistake, but sometimes it happens.
I was fine because I got to see my baby once more 😁❤️

Not me, but the woman in the bed opposite me on the post-natal ward in hospital when I had DC1. She was told she was having a boy - she was surrounded by It’s A Boy balloons and had brought it blue babygros - but she had a girl. Her husband was awful and shouted at her. Poor woman spent a lot of time in tears on the phone. She already had a daughter and was under pressure from family to have a boy.

Not a private scan, but a friend of mine was told at the 20 week that it was a girl and then at a 36 week growth scan discovered ‘she’ was in fact ‘he’ and he’d just been a bit shy at the 20 week they were perfectly happy about it but it did take a bit of getting their heads around as they had a name etc and had received lots of girls handmedowns from family etc. He’s a gorgeous little boy and did spend most of his first months in pink florals, doesn’t seem to have scarred him.

What makes you think they’ve given you the wrong sex at the scan OP?

(As an aside that poor woman @ForsythiaInBloom. I really hope she wound up away from that husband.)
