Anyone booking in an ELCS but hoping to go into labour beforehand?

I had an EMCS with my first so electing this time around.

Actually hoping I go into natural labour before my ELCS date though.

Anyone else?

I've just agreed something similar - I've agreed to go to 40 weeks with the hope a VBAC will happen and I can use the high risk birth pool however I have refused all induction intervention and have a c Section booked for 40 +1.

I went 2 weeks over with number 1 and my placenta wasn't in the best condition. I also had a terrible experience with induction and my epidural so I don't want to do that again. Initially I was all for the section but the birth pool tempted me again...

I kind of hoped, but didn't

Dd was emcs at 42+6, 8lb 9oz

They said ds was bigger and I had a 30% chance of assisted vbac but booked me in for elcs at 39+5 and that's how he was born - 9lb 8oz so probably grateful actually!

The elcs was a dream compared to the emcs - so much calmer and easier

Me, I had a c section booked for 39 weeks but went into natural (very quickly) labour at 38 weeks.

My c section was booked for 39+4 and I went into labour the day before and had her 1am 39+4 naturally 😊 So happy I didn't have a c section!

That’s what I did, ELCS booked in for 39+6 and 3 sweeps booked for 38-39 weeks, but I actually went into labour at 36 weeks. Ended up with a c section anyway but I felt much more in control this time around!

I am hoping to, but not for VBAC! I'll still have a csection if he tries to come early but want him out ASAP so I'm not in pain anymore!
