Ovulation bleeding for a week?!

Hey, ladies. I've been googling pregnancy-related questions for the past five years and now I'm finally starting my own thread because I CAN'T FIND ANY ANSWERS ON THIS!! Lol Anyway, I know I'm in my fertile window because of the timing and my usual abundant ewcm (sorry if TMI), but this time around I've had ovulation bleeding for six days straight and it doesn't seem to be tapering off. It actually seems to be getting worse, which doesn't make any sense because there's no way it's my period. I'm on cd 16. I took a pregnancy test yesterday or the day before (can't remember) and it was a BFN. What the heck is going on? Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what was the cause? Everything online says ovulation bleeding should only be one or two days, and I've had it many times in the past, but never this long. I have been under a massive amount of stress lately since my cat went missing, so maybe my hormones are going crazy. Thinking about contacting my OBGYN. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Grin

I should also mention that it's not like full-on bleeding. Just mostly brown tinged ewcm and some watery red spotting.

Hi, I know this is a year old but do you mind telling me the outcome as I’m going through exactly the same thing right now!

Hey! I wasn't pregnant and still haven't gotten pregnant. Going on seven years of infertility but I finally got some answers. My hormones are all over the place because I have a benign growth on my pituitary gland. I got checked because I started lactating without being pregnant. I'm assuming my excessive ovulation bleeding was related to my hormones being out of whack. I hope this helps!

Yes, they put me on cabergoline to reduce my prolactin and I just found out today that it's working! The medication has a very good reputation for helping women conceive, so I have high hopes. :) I wish you all the best too! <3
