Hi girls I'm 36+1 and have had two days of consecutive loose stools followed by lower back pains. Is this normal?

Hello! I’m only 2 days behind. Is it your first baby?

It certainly could be, but equally it definitely might not be. I’ve had two babies before and had false starts with all of them. This pregnancy I had 6 hours of regular contractions followed by losing a ton of mucous plug and still nothing happened. Whereas in my first pregnancy I lost a bit of mucous plug at 34 weeks, thought nothing of it and then had my waters go in a hair salon 2 hours later 🤦‍♀️

I’ve had loose stool the last few days too. For me, I think it can be caused by babies movements messing with my digestion and irritating my bowels a bit Blush

The lower back ache is more likely to be related… but I’ve had that one and off throughout pregnancies too! If you’re worried you could always give labour ward a call and see what they say. They might just check you over to put your mind at rest, especially if it’s your 1st. X

@Enwi yes it's my first.

I'm thinking it's false labour too considering I haven't even had my plug release yet.

I'm worried about going in because they're so
Forceful on inducing me at 38 weeks. I'm wary that if I go into Triage they'll just say we'll induce you now rather than at 38 because the baby is on larger size
