HCG injections whilst pregnant for recurrent miscarriage

Has anyone been treated for recurrent miscarriage with weekly HCG injections after a positive pregnancy test? Did they work and did you have side-effects (mainly sickness)! I had them in my last pregnancy but didn’t feel good that I couldn’t find anyone else who had had them and had terrible sickness.

Recovering from another loss and struggling with the decision if I should have them again with so little evidence?

Thank you,

I had HCG injections as part of my ivf treatment. But that was only for 12 days (3 days apart). You start before the embryo is implanted and continue until 8 days after. It seemed to work well for me because I stayed pregnant for the first time after multiple failed attempts and miscarriages. My problem is that I respond really badly to progesterone supplements and I have really low levels and start bleeding. The HCG makes sure that the ovaries keep releasing progesterone and that I don't start shedding the womb lining. I did end up with massive ovaries (big because of artificial stimulation) that stayed big until nearly 15 weeks. This was not very pleasant but for the rest I felt ok- just a bit nauseous. I would definitely take it again- even for longer if it was offered to me. But as I said my reason for taking it was different. Good luck whatever you decide x
