Evening all
My god i’m in pain!! 37 weeks now and since last weekend i’ve been sore itchy and swollen and its so uncomfortable. I can feel like a heavy sensation which is probably the baby, but i’ve tried sudocrem vagisil and today bought some canesten as a last ditch attempt before i contact the doctor.
Has anyone had this before? I’ve no unusual discharge, no burning or stinging when i wee, just this itchy swollen aching feeling and today i’ve noticed some spots/raised bumps but i’m not sure if that’s just irritation or something cos i’m so sore. I don’t know if i have an infection or something or if its just extra blood flow/pressure from the baby. Either way its bloody uncomfortable!!

Could be thrush if its itchy but also it is just a thing cos of increased blood flow. I remember the first time I was pregnant being so shocked and horrified that this was a thing!! 😅

Sounds similar to when I had varicose veins down there when I was pregnant! Very uncomfortable.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 14/01/2022 20:19

Try multi gyn actigel

Sounds similar to the vulval varicose veins I suffered with. Pregnancy is delightful Confused

I didn’t even know the veins were a thing down there 😭😭 I thought i was prepared for every eventuality as its my second baby but clearly not. Please tell me they go away after birth 😭😭

i had this for a couple of weeks, i am now 39+1 and basically gone. avoid itiching as much as possible, i know this is hard. i found vaseline the best thing and also sleeping without knickers or pants so maybe a nightie and some air for a couple of nights

Kittykat93 · 14/01/2022 21:43

I believe the medical term is fanny daggers

Bunny2607 · 14/01/2022 21:58

Fanny daggers 😂😂
Glad to hear it passed for you @cfarrugia. I’ll try no pants tonight, just so blooming swollen and sore. Its like if i press on the area its the bones behind my skin which are inflamed or something its weird.
