Yep pain, bleeding, fever normally. Left hand shoulder?

If you are at all concerned you should go to casualty - don't worry they won't mock you.

I had the same worries with DD1 at 5 weeks, I got a massive pain in my stomach and panicked, rushed to A&E only to discover that my uterus had moved up a bit and stretched a recent scar from a laporoscopy (ironically a fertility investigation).

Good luck

I had one when I was younger. SEVERE pain, to the extent that A&E was the only option, I was convinced I had appendicitis (I didn't know I was pregnant). Intense shoulder pain but more really really strong stomach pains.

If you are worried, get checked out - it won't do any harm

where in your shoulder is the pain? Shoulder TIP pain indicates ectopic. i.e. if you turn your head to the side, the point that you can see where your arm joins your shoulder. You can take 2 paracetamol (if you're ok with those - it's fine when pregnant) and also put an ice pack on and if the pain is still there in 20 mins or worsens in that time or you feel ill, you should go to A&E. You may have no other symptoms and that's fine.

Thanks everyone. The pain is in my left shoulder but nearer my neck rather than at the tip, have noticed it for a couple of days now at least so guessing if it is anything to worry about I would have some more severe symptoms by now. No pains in my abdomen so hoping I have just pulled a muscle and over worring.

Find these first stages of pregnancy so nerve racking.

Hi Mower
I never had any pain, shoulder or otherwise with my ectopic, just bleeding and a very faint line on a pg test (not a diagnostic test I know) so please don't ignore this. I'm sure thats not the case with you but persoanlly I'd rather be safe than sorry. Do you have the number of the local early pregnany unit (EPU)? You can usually self refer without needing to go via your GP.
good luck

Mower, I had severe pain which started with need to poo almost all day, went to doc who was useless and said i was miscarrying, slightly odd as only 6 weeks and that pain was too intense for a miscarriage and there was no blood. Three days of hell and more pain than imaginable in my abdomen. Do not ignore it, please, its horrid and will worsen with time. On the plus side though, I didn't get shoulder pain till the second night of agony, so supsect you might have just pulled a muscle or something. The pain in your shoulder is deferred pain if it is ectopic. Also, you are quite early to show signs of ectopic I think, another week or so to go till it starts to agrivate your system! Good luck and let us know.

Hello, so Im 5 weeks pregnant and have cramps, lower back ache and dull stitch like pains, which read was normal. However now I have a pain in my shoulder which comes and goes and I keep searching everything and get really worried anyone reassure me this is normal or to get seen?! Thanks!!

I've had 2 ruptured ectopics - the odds are it's just a random twinge. Shoulder tip pain is literally the last symptom you get before collapsing because it's caused by internal bleeding reaching the diaphragm- when my ruptured I knew it about it as it's the worst pain I've ever experienced

4 weeks here, and have had mild cramping Fluctuating throughout the day for the past 4-5 days. Should I be worried?

No not at this point - sounds like normal pregnancy twinges

Severe one sided pain that made me double over. Feeling something was really wrong. No bleeding or fever for me. Shoulder tip pain came later.
