TMI - Discharge

Hi ladies, really sorry but this is a TMI post 😳

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and for the past week or two have been seeing a lot of stringy 'snot like' discharge when I wipe. There's no odd colour to it or smell, so I'm assuming it's not an infection?

I've looked through Mumsnet for anything similar and only seem to be able to find posts from way back. Just wondering if this could be bits of my mucus plug? There is no pink or bloody tinge to it, just almost clear in colour.

Any answers or similar experiences are much appreciated 💙

Just sounds like normal discharge pregnancy increases discharge so that no infections can get to baby usually the plug looks really gross and has blood in it x

Sounds familiar to me! I had the same mucus at around about my due date and was told this could be the beginning of the mucus plug. Then mine suddenly dislodged all at once, so maybe that will come soon! :) But yes I also had increased discharge the further I get on. Give your midwife a call for peace of mind if that helpsWink
