Hi everyone,

I'm almost 34 weeks pregnant and tested positive for Corona today.

I am double vaccinated, but haven't had my third vaccine yet ( third vaccine is booked for January 24th)

I am a bit worried about negative effects on the baby, stillbirth and preterm delivery.

Has anyone been through this?

What was your outcome?

Do I need to inform the hospital? xx

You should let your midwife know but no need to do anything else differently unless you need hospitalising

Try not to worry too much! You are double vaccinated so have done as much as you can. I caught it days after my booster (so same position as booster wouldn’t have kicked in) and was fine, headaches/sinus pain (which is awful as you can’t take anything for it!) and shortness of breath but I was short of breath anyway with the baby lying where she was!

Let your midwife know as they will do a proper assessment for you - I didn’t need any additional treatment but depending on your circumstances they may prescribe injections to prevent blood clots etc.

Also important to know you CAN still go to triage if you need to for reduced movements etc., you just ring them to let them know and they will put things in place so you can go in safely (I didn’t end up needing to but felt so much better knowing it was there if I needed it)

Hope you feel better soon! Flowers
