Help! WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Hi guys, I was pregnant and started miscarrying on the 12th of December it was heavy and I passed a clot, and it ended on the 17th. I did tests a week later and the test lines had faded there was still a line but very very faint, now I’ve been doing tests this week and they are super dark positive. Yesterday I had bloods don’t and have a hgc level of over 500, which is too low to be the pregnancy I “miscarried”, i have a scan tomorrow and more bloods, my doctor said it could be twins and I miscarried one (but why are my hgc levels so low). It could be a ectopic pregnancy, a new pregnancy or remaining product. What’s your opinion has anyone else experienced this??

The HCG levels form part of the picture but you will need the repeat bloods which will give you more of an idea. Sadly, there's no way to know what's happening until you've had further bloods and scans. It's hard to wait but it will become clearer. I'm sorry you're experiencing such a difficult time.

Thank you for replying, I’ve never heard anything like this, I’m so confused and beating my brain about it, I just wanted to share and see if anyone else experienced anything similar, my test was near enough negative only 3 weeks ago and now it’s so dark with hgc levels of 500+, at least I’ve only got to wait til tomorrow to find out 🤞

I had similar, miscarried and the test went to negative. Then I tested again a week later and it was positive again, rang the epu who called me in for a scan, they could see something but wanted to wait 2 weeks for another scan and run bloods giving a HCG level, went back 2 weeks later no change or growth still positive tests, another blood test but HCG had stayed the same, given another 2 week wait for a scan and bloods. Went back scan no change or growth and HCG levels had dropped on bloods. Was diagnosed with retained products of conception and had a d and C the next day.

If HCG levels are rising though and the scan is showing growth, could be a new pregnancy. So it is sadly one of those watch and wait situations.

Sorry I don't have any major happy news.

I've been on MN long enough to have seen similar threads many times and it's so very difficult.

Tomorrow should give you more idea of what is happening but bear in mind that it might not answer all of your questions. It might even raise a few questions if the scans are not clear for example.

Thank you, it turned out to be a new pregnancy, so I got pregnant one week after miscarriage
