Brown/pink discharge early pregnancy

Hello,
I just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant (first time after 3 years trying) and today I noticed pink-brown discharge (it felt like I'd started my period/wet so I went to check).

I actually had this same discharge 3 days before my period was due which lasted 2 days and I now know this was implantation bleeding.

However, after getting it again today I am really worried. When I read up online the advice ranges from normal to ectopic/molar to miscarriage! I am feeling so overwhelmed. I don't know if what's happening is normal.

I don't have shoulder pain, I don't have painful cramps (just some sensations like light cramping in my lower stomach and sides intermittently). The pink-brown discharge only appeared once today.

Is it normal to have pink-brown discharge more than once in early pregnancy?

I rang the GP when I found out I was pregnant who gave me a midwife number to call and they told me to call back in a week. So I have no one else to ask... (would be grateful to know if there are other healthcare providers I can speak to)

My understanding is that implantation spotting can continue as the baba burrows further into the uterine lining.

I would be concerned at all unless it was bright red / dark brown xx

Congratulations!
Yes I had it for a week or two prior to 7 weeks. Mostly just when I whiped, odd time in knickers.
Everything turned out absolutely fine!
It's very common tbh just not many people actually talk about it.

Bright red, filling a pad, cramps, shoulder tip pain is what to look out for.

I also had this and all turned out fine Smile I was told to only be concerned if it was bright red / filled a pad.

Hey, so I'm currently between 5-6 weeks and had my first GP appointment today , I also had this spotting over the weekend and was beside myself as I had a miscarriage last year - but literally all it was was light in color / pinky browny discharge.
GP said nothing to worry about unless it is starting to fill a pad or bright red etc.

It's so hard not to assume the worst!

Congratulations and I hope you have a healthy pregnancy. 💕

Hi I'm 17 weeks pregnant and I've had the same right through my pregnancy it stops for ages then comes back I've had a cervix check and they have found nothing wrong midwife said it might be something that just happens.

laurenGame · 12/01/2022 00:45

@Sunshine2022 I had the same from 5 weeks including two bleeds. Spotting on and off. I'm 15 weeks now, no reason for the bleed cervix is fine 🤷‍♀️
