Pre eclampsia

I've had a persistent headache all day and quite bad heart palpitations. I've taken panadol but it hasn't touched it. Earlier on my hands and legs were shaking extremely bad but that calmed down after I ate something. I'm 34 weeks. I called my midwife who suggested I do an antigen test because some of the symptoms sounded like omicron, test was negative. I still don't feel well at all. My fingers are also swollen. I'm worried that it could be pre eclampsia but the midwife said that because I haven't had high blood pressure and don't typically suffer it outside of pregnancy that she wasn't concerned. Not sure what to do.

Triage

Get a urine sample at the ready, and call triage.

Have you had an vision problems with the headache?

I had swollen feet and hands, protein in my urine and high blood pressure so triage looked into preeclampsia.

They've asked that I keep regular check on urine and BP and that the big symptoms to look out for is swelling of the face and headaches with vision problems.

Get yourself checked out for your sake. Then, whatever it is making you feel under the weather, you can concentrate on resting from rather than worrying x

I was told the same as OP during my first pregnancy. They refused to see me as my BP was fine despite having other symptoms.

I'm currently pregnant and was sent to triage for similar symptoms as first pregnancy a couple of days ago (different hospital this time). I waited 7hrs and the consultant then refused to see me or speak to me (actually turned his back on me and pretended I wasn't there Hmm) as I didn't have high BP.

It's worth calling and telling them you're wanting to go in and be checked. They can do a blood test that will confirm if you have preeclampsia or not. They'll also want to check for protein in your urine.
My blood test confirmed the next day that I don't have preeclampsia, but I have no idea what might actually be wrong with me. They'll likely be concerned about the swelling you're having too.
(I was also 34wks when I went in).
