Night #5836 of zero sleep! 32 weeks. Not my first baby. I just want the baby here now. Restless legs, heartburn, peeing round the clock.
Now I have constant braxton hicks that are starting to be in my lower back and very unpleasant. DP is asleep next to me(such a heavy sleeper) and I could punch him out of jealousy because he’s asleep and I’m not!!
I could honestly cry.
I know I’m lucky to be in this position, as so many people would kill to be me. But I’m so fed up

It’s shit isn’t it. It’s also shit because you feel you can’t complain or be negative about how painful and uncomfortable it all is because there are so many people who would give anything to be in this position.

I’m 38+4 and just done. Everything hurts including the babies movements. I had an untreated urine infection from weeks 31-36 that was absolute agony but the penny never dropped that it was a uti until the midwife tested my urine. Now walking hurts which is making the school run fun Hmm.

I have a growth scan today and consultant appointment and due to previous pregnancies I’d really like an induction. I’m so ready to beg and bargain with them!

Good luck with the appointment. Yes it’s no fun in the later stages. Guess the sleepless. If bra are just the prequel to the next chapter!

Am with you....same time scared not to have baby too early... lol

WorryMcGee · 10/01/2022 11:46

I’m 25 weeks and was awake with restless legs at 3:30am this morning almost in tears at the thought of another 14 weeks of this (planned c section) so I have nothing useful to add other than I have all the sympathy in the world and am really, truly, never ever doing this again. Next person who tells me I’ll change my mind is getting one of those glitter bomb envelopes in the post…

My babies have been premature so I’m expecting this one any day. So the not knowing when is also sending me over the edge. Can I just go to sleep until I go into labour?!

I’m with you Op. 33 weeks tomorrow and have so much trouble sleeping. Two nights of not sleeping at all has now caused a (day 3 and counting) migraine. My baby constantly moves which is lovely but having your bump fidget whilst trying to drop off is tough…. Plus every fifth movement can be a painful jab. I was up until 4am the other day and I had a horrible thought that I wanted the bump gone…… that thoughts gone now, just have to get rid of the migraine now.

Hi hun, not sure if you are looking for advice or just a rant! But I just wanted to suggest something that works for me (so far 🤞🏼) and that’s playing podcasts through Spotify on my phone. Found some stories with relaxing voices and they help me fall asleep and stay asleep. I’m not quite as far along as you, so no doubt it won’t work for me forever but I just wanted to share x

Well apparently you can't 🤣

Its so frustrating to me too, cause YOU KNOW you will have the baby after and instead of resting and sleeping now, no- HAVE to be awake. For no reason at all. Not that someone woke u up not from anything else, but just so. I cried the other night too qhen woke up again at 3 🤣 like why on earth is in our nature to not sleep through the night. Looking at all the other similar posts, its seems like noone pregnant sleep. Whyyyyy 🤣

NewKidOnTheBlock99 · 11/01/2022 11:15

Jumping on this bandwagon! I’m only 32 weeks but haven’t had a decent nights sleep since around 6 weeks pregnant and honestly it’s starting to take its toll! I’ve coped quite well until now but I’m fed up at this point :( I just want my body back and for the baby to be here. I’m starting to get a lot of pelvic pain and I’m just done 😂

freshflowers2 · 11/01/2022 11:20

Same here OP, 31 weeks with history of v premature baby and this one could arrive any day. Or not!!

Despite the physical stuff I actually think it's probably anxiety causing my insomnia.

Blitzthen · 11/01/2022 21:57

Anxiety could well be playing a part in how I’m feeling.
I’ve just got into bed, lit a candle and hoping I can relax enough to fall asleep. Good luck ladies!
