Hei, girls, can you please tell me is it normal to feel low back pain in early pregnancy? I am very worried as I had a chemical miscarriage one year ago, this pregnancy seems to be great but still have my fears. If u had, how does it feel like? Thanks Blush

Hi @wonderwoman13 hope your doing OK? I have no answers unfortunately but I'm approx 6 weeks and also having back ache on and off and lower pelvic pain. I am trying to feel reassured that it's normal but after suffering a miscarriage last year, every single little twinge sends me into a cold panic. It's draining. So I know how you feel. Fingers crossed and I hope your aches have worn off now! Good luck to you!

@wonderwoman13 I have had horrible lower back and pelvic ache since about 5+2, it starts in my coccyx area then radiates out into my pelvis - worse at night and cant get comfortable. Mine was accompanied by some spotting and due to my last pregnancy ending in miscarriage my dr referred me to EPU. I had an early scan on Weds when I was exactly 6 weeks and the sack and foetal pole was there and a flickering heart beat - the nurse said that back pain can be caused by hormones, relaxin is release and causes ligaments to stretch etc, also there's a lot of growth going on in that area. I would say if it gets too painful see if your EPU will see you just to give you peace of mind :)

Yes !! Completley normal I was killed with lower back pain. Still am but it has eased up a bit now!

I had some spotting .. and completely went into panic mode due to having a miscarriage last year.

However it didn't last very long - but my GP has referred me to EPU my appointment is this Sunday morning .. so very nervous!

@AlM93 how was your scan? I will just be over 6 weeks so scared it's too early to see a heartbeat.
Did you get an internal or ultrasound?

Congratulations to all by the way 💕👶🏽

@naomi94 I'm sure you'll be fine! My scan was ok - I have to go back in two weeks when I'll be 8 weeks just to check its progressing as it should be but the nurse said she's not worried and at 6 weeks its still very early and can't really see in much detail. She started with an external but the details wasn't very good, that's when they did the internal (didn't hurt so don't be worried) and found the heartbeat and foetal pole. I did spot a bit more after the internal but she said that's to be expected. Let us know how you get on with yours x
