Has anyone ever had reflexology in pregnancy, what stage of pregnancy and did you find that it helped

I’ve had reflexology in 2 of my pregnancies, firstly to try and evict my very overdue baby and secondly to help with pelvic and back pain. Neither sessions had the desired affect but I thoroughly enjoyed both sessions and felt incredibly relaxed so would recommend it for that alone.

Yep, last time I only got to have 2 sessions before my waters went 4 days after my second session at 37+6. This time I've been having it throughout from around 15 weeks every month, I'm 37 weeks now and have a session booked for Wednesday and my therapist knows its operation get baby out now I'm at term Grin

My friend had reflexology with both pregnancy and said she believes it's the reason she didn't tear or need stitches, anyone else found that

@19annie86 how? How would reflexology have any bearing on that?

I did actually have some for heartburn at six months pregnant. I don’t think it made any difference.

I love it. Just for relaxing and I love massages anyway. I don’t think it’s made any difference in any of my pregnancies but it’s my treat.

I had it throughout - it's what someone recommended to me instead of acupuncture

She said apparently it softened the cervix so she didn't tear, I'm not sure
