Does my section get cancelled?

I’ve been told that mine will definitely go ahead if I test positive, but will be the last on the list (so they can do a deep clean) and will have my own room/bathroom throughout my stay.

Ok that's interesting, thanks

I presume you mean covid screening? You don’t have to consent to this if you don’t want it, same as any other screening you’ve been offered.

If you refuse I guess they will just treat you as if you are positive, so it's a bit pointless really.

Please don't say no to covid screening, what a selfish and stupid idea!

If you test positive on the day it'll still go ahead but as pp said, likely later in the day so they have time to deep clean before next patient. You'll have your own room and bathroom and your partner won't be able to come in with you, whether they're positive or negative.
