Does lack of symptoms indicate MMC?

Hi all,
I’m 6 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby & have absolutely no symptoms at all other than a missed period/positive test.
With my previous 2 pregnancies I was extremely sick with one and with the other I was slightly less sick but very nauseous. Both times from around 4 weeks. Am now panicking that I’m having a missed miscarriage:(

I had zero symptoms to 7 weeks

Bells3032 · 08/01/2022 17:33

I'm holding my two week old daughter now

Garman · 08/01/2022 17:34

No it doesn't. I had loads of symptoms, mmc at 10 weeks.

Wandda · 08/01/2022 17:34

With one of my pregnancies I had zero symptoms

notasillysausage · 08/01/2022 17:35

I had no symptoms with my third until 7 weeks then had all the sickness. Try not to worry, although believe me I was a nervous wreck with all my babies after previous losses Flowers

RovenderKitt · 08/01/2022 17:36

No, felt fairly rough with dd1. Had nothing at all with dd2

Mammyofasuperbaby · 08/01/2022 17:38

I've had no symptoms till 9 weeks with one pregnancy. 2 miscarriages with symptoms from 4 to 6 weeks (when I lost them)
One pregnancy with symptoms from 4 weeks and a mmc at 10 weeks, baby delivered at 15 weeks and symptoms that were still severe for a month after that.
Honestly it's a mixed bag, in my opinion symptoms are meaningless and scans are the only way to know for sure at this stage

germsandcoffee · 08/01/2022 17:40

I didn't even know I was pregnant with my third until 25 weeks so definitely not .
My first pregnancy I threw up for 9 whole months and second I just had morning sickness for a few weeks.
Just goes to show every pregnancy I'd different.

LuckyWithMyLot · 08/01/2022 17:44

Feeling the same as you OP.
With DS I had bad morning sickness from 5.5 weeks.
I'm currently 7+2 with #2 and don't have any sickness at all.

I can't help but worry as a lot of similar posts you see, the people who had sickness the first time round were expecting a girl and then they had no sickness on their boy.

I'm going to schedule a reassurance scan if I don't start feeling sick soon.

strawberrysummer19 · 08/01/2022 18:01

Apparently it doesn't - I had no symptoms until 7 weeks and I've also read people having ni symptoms and everything has been fine

I found the only reassurance for me was early scans

X

Currently am 20 weeks. Had nothing except slightly bigger boobs until 7 weeks, mild nausea until 10 weeks then basically nothing until recently aside from being more emotional and tired. Nothing major at all. My mum had 2 healthy pregnancies with virtually no symptoms at all.

Enwi · 09/01/2022 00:31

No it definitely doesn’t. I had a MMC at 13 weeks and had loads of symptoms. With my healthy pregnancies I’ve had much less symptoms, especially at only 7 weeks. X

Incywinceyspider · 09/01/2022 18:20

I had no symptoms at all. Currently 33 weeks and being kicked!

Sunbird24 · 09/01/2022 18:27

I’ve had several MMCs and with all but one still had symptoms when they were diagnosed. With the odd one I’d had no symptoms really anyway, but loads of positive tests, and then one day about a week before my scan I heard a voice in my head say really clearly “I’m not pregnant any more”. Turned out it was right.
Would an early scan help put your mind at ease, or would it just stave off the anxiety for a couple of days?
