Why on earth wouldn't it be?

FelicityPike · 08/01/2022 09:33

It is.
Why wouldn’t it be?
Have you been on the NHS website that gives you a list of advice about foods?

toxitears181 · 08/01/2022 09:39

When i did a quick google search it said to avoid so double checking to see what others think.

Was it a uk website, the NHS one?

WheelieBinPrincess · 08/01/2022 09:47

Whst is your logic? What about apple juice would be unsafe do you think?

Are you going to google everything you consume for nine months?

WheelieBinPrincess · 08/01/2022 09:47

Why specifically Co op apple juice Confused

tealandteal · 08/01/2022 09:51

Check the NHS website for the things you need to avoid, the list is actually quite short.

McHelenz · 08/01/2022 09:55

Only Tesco apple juice is allowed

TeddyTonks · 08/01/2022 10:14

OP if you are who I think you are, you need to seek some help. You can't live like this for nine months. The volume and content of these posts over the last few days are indicating your level of worry is completely abnormal.

TyrannosaurusRegina · 08/01/2022 10:27

Co-op apple juice is fine. Have you suffered miscarriages/fertility issues in the past OP? I have and I over analysed every tiny little thing; did running for 5 seconds to catch that bus cause damage, did sitting up too quickly to get out of bed harm the baby....amongst a million and one other intrusive thoughts 24/7. It'll get easier as the pregancy progresses. Speak to your midwife, get all the support you can.

pastabest · 08/01/2022 10:30

I remember this poster from a previous pregnancy, we were pregnant at the same time.

She was strongly advised then by many people to seek help for her anxiety, and if I remember correctly she also directly called me a bitch for suggesting she spoke to her midwife about it despite me being really quite worried about her level of fear about everything.

Toxi - please speak to your midwife about these intrusive thoughts you have about what you are eating/ drinking. It seemed to make your pregnancy a few years ago very stressful for you.

GrowBabyGrow · 08/01/2022 10:31

Oh OP I think you might need to go on a google ban. Print out the list of foods from the NHS website and just follow that. The internet is a scary place when you are anxious and there are all sorts of weird websites with absolutely no medical qualifications that say things are risky when really they are not. Agree with PP as well, talk to your midwife about your anxiety.

Mouseonmychair · 08/01/2022 10:36

There have been a lot of threads like this recently. Seriously don't Google get treatment for your health anxiety and eat what is healthy and what you want. Plenty of people do and they are fine. some of these dont eat lists are for the world's most likely risks that is much less dangerous than getting in a car.

SickAndTiredAgain · 08/01/2022 10:39

Googling anything will probably come up with a website that says it isn’t safe in pregnancy. Most of these sites are nonsense, and it’s also important to note that if they aren’t UK based there may also be different food standards eg in this country we can eat raw egg if lion stamped, other countries can’t eat raw egg.

Stick to the NHS list, it’s based on actual evidence and UK food risks.

DropYourSword · 08/01/2022 10:44

Why....why wouldn’t it be ok?
It wouldn’t occur to me to eventually question this!

toxitears181 · 08/01/2022 20:11

Yall really need to relax 😂 i was only asking a damn question all this i have anxiety and need to seek help i mean come on!

McHelenz · 08/01/2022 20:25

I think you need to relax if you're asking about drinking juice.

That level of stress isnt healthy for you or your baby.

dementedpixie · 08/01/2022 20:28

If its not on the nhs advice to avoid then its fine to drink.

WheelieBinPrincess · 08/01/2022 20:35

It’s you not us.

RedCandyApple · 08/01/2022 20:39

I had a friend like this, it was an exhausting 9 months, she spent the whole time asking if she could eat mash, chips, pizza, once went to a restaurant and she spat the chips out because she said they were “undercooked” then started panicking that it would harm the baby

Danikm151 · 08/01/2022 20:57

Juice you buy in a shop will from concentrate and pasteurised so any nasties gone
Just stick to what the nhs site says and you’ll be fine

DropYourSword · 09/01/2022 00:20

Not sure anyone else really needs to “relax” here. We’re just curious as to why there’d be any issue with apple juice. It’s worth sharing why you think it could be a problem so we could all understand. I don’t think is asking that is too unusual.
toxitears181 · 09/01/2022 12:02

Danik151 thankyou for your reply. :) The only person who hasnt judged me on this whole thread 😂😂

Oh my gosh, leave the woman alone! It's not an unreasonable question, as not all juice is pasteurised. OP, you just need to check if it's pasteurised. If it is, it's fine.

And before anyone jumps down my throat, it IS fairly easily possible to eat or drink something unpasteurised. I did it, at the start of this pregnancy. It was a genuine error. I don't think the OP's question is unreasonable or means she has excessive anxiety!

toxitears181 · 11/01/2022 09:03

Thankyou so much @torina finally somebody that isnt insane!

Yes ive heard about the juices so wanted to know what to avoid etc all this ive got severe anxiety is just nonsense im just doing the best for my baby. Hope your doing well sending love ❤️
