Im 35 weeks, midwife not sure if baby is breach or not because baby is lying virtually on my back, so heart beat is being picked up below and above my naval. Midwife has asked me think about where im feeling the baby when LO has the hiccups, as this can be another indication of which way around little one is, so it got me wandering where others feel movements when LO has the hiccups and if they are head down or not. Myself personally I feel the movements high under my ribs and down my right side. Thx again

I'm 31 weeks and feel hiccups low down on either side- highest is level with navel. My mw wasn't 100% sure of baby's postion at last check but thought baby was head down

I'm 33 weeks and feel the hiccups low down, and generally on the left hand side. My baby is head down (just had a scan and it hasn't moved since then).

Hmmmm, I think thats a bit cruel of your midwife to suggest your baby is breach and then ask you to judge your babies possition based on hiccups. 35 weeks is still plenty of time for your baby to turn, get down on your hands and knees and clean the floor, works a treat.

If your worried, ask to see another midwife, maybe they'll be able to tell better.

Good Luck.
