Accuracy of sex prediction at 20 week scan

I had my 20 week scan (I was actually 19 weeks + 3 days) a few days ago and was told I'm having a girl. The sonographer struggled to get a clear picture of the baby as it was in a funny position but said that she couldn't see any "boy bits" so she felt it was a girl. I've recently read however that the absense of male bits is not an accurate reason for predicting a girl. Apparently the sonographer should be able to see the female bits, i.e. ovaries, to be able to predict a girl. I've also heard that predictions of boys are more accurate than girls. Anyone know anything about this? How accurate do you think the sonographer was?

Boys both times - 20 week scan managed to get the sort of view as if DS's were sat on the loo and you were looking up. Both times we could see bottom 2 legs testicles and willy - pretty clear cut.
It is said to be much harder with a girl!!!

Both of mine were right. Although after a friends experience where it was got wrong and the sonographer saying she could never say 'for definate' I was convinced she was wrong.

Boy parts are obvious - at my 20 week scan we were showed DD's bits and they kind of resembled a burger...
