Sadly there's no quick fix. The reccomended amount is every other day but there's no guarantees

Look, if you’re having sex when you’re not ovulating it won’t work even if you wear purple and swing from the chandelier. Get to grips with EWCM, get a handle on your typical cycle length… that helps. Then, anecdotally, Preseed/Conceive Plus. But five months is still within normal, much longer is too.

@GarageMusicLover1980

Why? Are you trying to trap him before he leaves
Why on earth is that the conclusion you jump too??

OP are you tracking ovulation?

WheelieBinPrincess · 07/01/2022 14:34

You have SOOOO many threads asking questions on ovulation, conception and everything else in between. I’m not sure if there’s anything new anyone can tell you.

Not sure sex frequency is all. Timing is more important. I didn't succeed with daily sex, then got a digital ovulation kit and conceived with just having sex on the fertile days (and occasionally the rest of the month). Also obviously there could be other issues at play, but there's no point obsessing over sex frequency either way.

ButFirstTea · 07/01/2022 14:57

Frequency doesn't matter as much as ensuring you are having sex a day or two before ovulation every month. If you're not yet tracking I would highly recommend trying ovulation kits and BBT, but I would also say that 5 months is still a relatively short time to be trying! Even the healthiest of couples can easily take 12 months to conceive so there's nothing to worry about at this point.

I had sex every other day leading up
to ovulation OP and that's it ... got pregnant second try. Try ovulation strips also.

wannabeamummysobad · 07/01/2022 15:41

I tracked my ovulation using the CB kits. As soon as I got my static smiley face we had sex once a day, once it flashed we had sex twice a day for 2 days.

Probably helped that we were newly weds TTC#1. Got my BFP our first cycle.

In addition, I'd been taking pregnacare pre-conception for 3 months prior to TTC as we had to postpone our wedding (Covid bride). Good luck OP!
