Out of curiosity what do you think got labour started for you? i.e. Sex, Pineapple, exercise etc.? Nearly full term and wondering if I should start doing anything in particular! FTM here :)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I tried EVERYTHING! Ate dates, drank raspberry leaf tea, evening primrose oil, walked, did squats, meditations, Clary sage, spicy curry, pineapple, reflexology, the lot and nothing!

DH had me on a sex ban as he wanted to be clear of Xmas and New year before baby came. Once I was 40 weeks he lifted the ban. So at 40 weeks we did it, next morning I lost my mucus plug, 2 days later (last night) we did it again. Waters broke this morning.

It could have just been time for baby to come, or it could have been a culmination of everything that worked together, but DH now believes that he has magic sperm as that seemed to be the thing that pushed me over the edge)

After having four babies, of whom three went two weeks past my due dates, I would have to say nothing but time brings on labour. I tried everything and the blighters did not want out

Curry for DC1, sex for DC2, both a week late. DC3 took me by surprise by being early!

For my second child I spent the day digging in the garden on my hands and knees. Went onto labour that night!
