Honeymoon while pregnant

I'm due to go on honeymoon in February and nil because 21 weeks pregnant
We are going to Dubai and the Maldives but my aunt just told me pregnant woman can not go to the Maldives
What!!
Is this true

Congratulations on your pregnancy and getting married! I'd recommend you look on the NHS website to research what it is and talk to your midwife about zika. It was on the news a lot a few years ago as it causes really serious issues for unborn babies and is a big problem in some countries.

It was also one of the questions in my booking appt form - 'have you been to or will you travel to a country that has zika virus'.

It's completely your decision if you do go but there might be extra precautions you have to take to not be bitten by a mosquito when there and I assume they might want to monitor the baby when you are back.

I am surprised not hearing of Zika. Before covid it was one of the big health stories.
