Does this sound like pelvic girdle pain or spd?

Hi everyone I’m 25 weeks pregnant and think I may have spd or pelvis girdle pain. I feel like I’ve ridden 50 miles on a bike, like a achey bruised feeling. Can anyone relate? And has anyone tried a pregnancy belt to help relieve it?
TIA xx

Hi @Rubi2. I don't have any advice but I sympathise! I'm only 14+ 4 weeks but am in a similar boat to you wondering if I might have SPD. I just learned about it. I also feel a bit like I've ridden a bike a long way but I'd describe it as more stiff/achey across my pubic bone and inner thighs where they meet my pelvis. I feel like it's making me bend forward a bit and it's a little uncomfortable when I get out of bed etc. I plan to mention it to my midwife. I certainly wasn't prepared for the aches and pains to start so soon. I do have a noticeable bump but it's not even big yet at all!

In my trust we can self refer to physio. I'm currently pregnant with twins and the pain is much worse and came on earlier this time. We had an online group video call with a physio which was actually really good and can then ring in for a face to face appointment after that. Might be worth checking your notes in case the self referral is in there.
