Has anyone else suffered constant nausea on aspirin?

Hi All, I've been on 150g aspirin daily since 12 weeks. I'm 27 weeks now and the nausea is really getting me down. With my DD I had terrible all day nausea rather than actual morning sickness, but it cleared up around 22weeks. This time I'm on the aspirin due to gestational hypertension that came on late on in my last pregnancy. Having done a bit of Googling after my aunt made a comment that aspirin can upset your stomach I've realised that the aspirin might actually be the cause. It's constant all day, occasionally I feel better and sometimes I actually feel hungry but mainly I'm just queasy or extremely bloated/heartburn-y after eating and it's making me so miserable. Sorry for the moan, just wondered if anyone was in the same boat or had any suggestions to help?

Oh no! When do you take it. Only asking as I take mine last thing so wondering if I sleep through the nausea?

Interesting you say this, when I took it with my DD I had no issues but this pregnancy I've literally had dodgy guts since I started taking it

I take it right before bed too! I was hoping to sleep through it too Grin

@rosie561 Timing isn't it then :( wonder if it's worth mentioning to your midwife, maybe they could prescribe something alongside it for the sickness.

Boots have ‘gastro resistant’ aspirin, I wonder if this would make a difference? I’m supposed to be taking it but haven’t managed very well so far as been so nauseas I’ve just thrown up after swallowing the tablets. I feel guilty but don’t know how to get round it Confused

I could have written this post. My nausea initially tapered off around 11/12 weeks then I was put on 2 baby aspirin a night from 14 weeks and within a few days the nausea came back. I’m going to asm my midwife at my next appt if it’s linked.
