Hi,

For those that booked this, how did you go about finding a place to do this? I've tentatively booked through ultrasound direct as the one I wanted aster baby scan isn't taking any bookings unless referred by doctor or midwife, most of the reviews on ultrasound direct are regarding other scans they've done

I had one through ultrasound direct. Scan was the same as any other. They took bloods and I got the results emailed to me about a week later.

I just Googled for ones near me - there's lots to choose from but that's probably because I'm in London.

Check with your midwife to see if your hospital offers it - ours does, which I didn’t see anywhere on the website, so wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t mention to her we were going to have a private NIPT done, and it was about £120 cheaper than our local private option.

Hi , I had mine in ultrasound directly in Manchester a few years ago privately after a higher risk nuchal scan / result . It wasn’t offered for free in my trust at the time so my only other option was the more invasive CVS etc. they were able to give me an appointment quote short notice I think it was a Sunday even. No issues scan was good and results were the usual timeline of 10 day ish.

I used ultrasound direct for private reassurance scans and Harmony NIPT a few years ago. Just a normal scan and they take bloods, then results come in the post :)

I did this with ultrasound direct and I must admit to being very impressed. Both the sonographer and nurse were very professional and good at their jobs and as an added bonus we got loads of scan pictures which we weren't expecting
