I'm 13 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I've had a tricky first trimester with sickness and tiredness, and to top it off I've just caught covid (I'm fully vaccinated but it's still knocked me out!)

So all in all I've been feeling rotten for weeks now and it's really starting to get me down. I don't know if I'm a bit depressed, or if it's just the situation... it's cold, dark, I'm isolating so I can't leave the flat, I've felt too ill to see friends over the Xmas period...

Just looking for a bit of advice really. Is anyone else in the same boat? Any ideas for things I can do to cheer myself up?!

Honestly..since its your first...if youre not working...now is the time for hobbies x anything you like doing? Even watching tv shows. You wont be able to do that later x so do now

I feel you! Am a few weeks from my due date and am feeling a bit done with the miracle of life at this point! Looking forward to the baby arriving but for now it feels like a lot of thumb twiddling and feeling very cooped up and lonely - socialising for me is quite sparse atm trying to be careful with Covid everywhere, not being able to drink and feeling pretty tired anyway. Lots of cooking with Gousto, baked lots over Christmas, getting baby things ready. The best thing you can do for feeling blue is get yourself out the house (when you're not isolating) even if just for half an hour every day. I keep booking myself foot massages and pedicures at the beauty place round the corner. Also worth looking into therapy sessions - being pregnant during Covid is stressful!!
