Boy nub that could maybe be a girl? 🙄 Yes. Im going crazy. Anyone in same situation?

Sooo ive been told by nubwhisperer its a boy but since beginning of this pregnancy that i feel like im having a girl ( i already have a 6y wonderful little boy ❤️), sometimes i look at the scan and see boy then sometimes i see girl, just want a bit hope really 🙃 i know its 50/50 & sometimes nub theory can be wrong /:.. Im only 14w and have to wait so long im gunna drive myself crazy looking at scans o.o scan was taken at 13w1d

Why not book a 16/17 week private scan? That's the earliest a scan can reliably identify if a baby is a boy or a girl. Even then, surprises can still happen - the only 100% ways of knowing are DNA testing and looking when the baby is born.

It comes across like having a girl seems really important to you - phrases such as wanting a bit of hope are things people sometimes say when facing bad news. But having a boy or a girl isn't bad news. If your baby is healthy, then focus on that and try not to put too much emphasis on their sex. If you find yourself stressing about it, maybe try thinking about the positives for both outcomes?

I am going with my Daughter for her private 4D Scan next in a few days time, she will be around 14 weeks by then, and they have said that it should be possible to find out the sex of her Baby during the scan if she would like that. Her Friend used the same clinic 2 years ago, and it was amazing, she discovered that she was having a baby Girl when she was 12+4 weeks pregnant, and they were correct!

@Scirocco definitely wouldnt be bad news if it is a boy as i already have a boy and wouldnt change him for the world! & i see lots of positives if it is a boy, still im not gunna lie i would love a little girl 😅 completely understand that its not my choice though but baby will be very much loved either way!
The reason why i dont book a private scan is because i dont want to spend that amount of money to just find out the sex /: at the end of the day like u said if baby is healthy thats all the matters i rather wait

I know how this sounds OP, but I've had two, third on the way, and they all look the same to me. They could show me a pre recorded video of a baby in the womb and I'd just nod my head along with the sonographer

What was the baby's heart rate like at the scan? Both times I've had girls and their heart rates have been quicker than 140 per minute.

Sorry not what you want to hear but the nub does look male to me. It looks stacked. However the nub section is quite blurry. The nub does look quite parallel to the spine though, so still potential for it to be a girl. Just the stacking to me indicates boy.

More than the nub I would say that’s a boys head- the skull shape theory has been pretty accurate generally when I’ve looked at friends and relatives scans. Whatever it is, I hope they’re healthy and that the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly @Cathiigomes

I wouldn't go by that as my boy had a fast heart rate indicating a girl. We were convinced he was a girl for numerous reasons too. We didn't mind in the slightest and were delighted so find out he was actually a boy!

There’s a Facebook group called Nub Theory Queens I think it is. They were spot on with mine. I was convinced I was having a boy but their Admins all said girl and I found out last week to my shock that I am indeed having a girl.

I am really good at this Op, that does look like a boy to me. Come back and update!
