I am trying to conceive and just taken my digest dose. I've heard from a couple of people that their first period was delayed by a week, and there were knock on effects on a few more.

Is that everyone else's experience?

Nope I got pregnant the month I had my first dose

EasterBunny7 · 03/01/2022 21:33

Wow, congrats @Incywinceyspider! Wish I was as lucky as you :)

Correction to my original post: "digest" should read as "first" Xmas Hmm

It made my period 3 weeks late. But I got pregnant next cycle so it didn’t have any long term effects.

GrowBabyGrow · 03/01/2022 21:51

Didn't affect my period at all! Good luck with your TTC journey x

DiamondSnow · 03/01/2022 21:56

Nope. Periods stayed normal after 1st dose. Conceived immediately after second dose. Had booster whilst pregnant.

Sleepy86 · 03/01/2022 22:48

Nope, I got my BFP a week after my booster

Jinglebellsoncake · 03/01/2022 22:58

I had 6 months of bleeding/spotting on and off after my 2nd AZ (couldn't tell what was a period and what was spotting).

I've now had a month of no bleeding which is flipping amazing 🎊

I've heard of a few others who have been affected in the same way, so I can see it might delay conception if I was trying.

JanetRobertaSnakehole · 03/01/2022 23:12

I also got pregnant the same month I had my first dose. I think if anything it made me more fertile... Grin

Pitstop1986 · 04/01/2022 10:30

I got my BFP just after my first Astrazenica vaccine. Had a slight bleed after the jab, then another slight bleed about 2 weeks later (which was probably an implantation bleed, as I got a BFP a few days later)

Good luck!

I missed a period both times, but eent straight back to normal in the next cycle

DeclareThePenniesOnYourEyes · 04/01/2022 10:33

Yes. First dose it made my period disappear for three months. Second and third dose it brought my period on almost immediately. Really weird.

twosticksandanapple · 04/01/2022 10:34

No. It was affected though by covid which I had several months prior to the vaccination.

Scottishskifun · 04/01/2022 10:35

Nope no changes at all.

Scottishskifun · 04/01/2022 10:36

Would add that having covid did however change my periods to very short (18 day cycles) for a few months. Dr said body under pressure for some with covid it's the opposite!

MiracleBaby2022 · 04/01/2022 10:39

I also got pregnant very soon after my first dose. And I've been considered infertile until now. I'm 44

HairyScaryMonster · 04/01/2022 10:43

I got an early period after my booster.

Salamander91 · 04/01/2022 10:56

I had a random 3 week long period after my second dose. On the upside though my cycles had been really long and I wasn't ovulating after a miscarriage and pcos diagnosis but it seemed to reset after this and I've had regular cycles since.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 04/01/2022 10:58

No changes.

StarsOnAMat · 04/01/2022 11:39

Definitely not trying to get pregnant but I’ve gone from being regular to all over the place. Anything from two weeks to six weeks between them since I had the first dose in March.

Nidan2Sandan · 04/01/2022 11:40

Nope

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 04/01/2022 11:48

No. I was a little anxious about it as periods were very disrupted by a steroid injection a few months previously but Covid vaccine did nothing to them. I got pregnant the month after my second one. I’ve just had Covid at 21 weeks pregnant, very mildly so I’m glad to have been fully vaccinated!
