35 weeks and unsure if in labour

So I'll try and make this a quick one..

On Wednesday just gone I went into triage (just over 35 weeks pregnant) due to sickness, diarrhoea and cramps/tightenings that the midwife could feel. They did a speculum and my cervix was closed however a swab that tests for early changes to the cervix and signs of early labour came back positive for. I'm sure it's called the Fetal Fibronectin Test.

Been discharged now as tightenings weren't worsening and for an ultrasound that showed baby is low and my waters are on the lowest side of average amount. Also, I've just felt my cervix and it is VERY soft and almost fuzzy feeling.

If you've had this or something similar, how long before you actually went into labour? I'm sick of this uncertainty and dull achy pain.

I had a bleed at 34 weeks and was having tightenings on CTG. Cervix was closed and no swabs were done but was kept in overnight as they thought I could have been going into labour. Nothing progressed but I was given steroid injections. I'm now 37 weeks and still no signs of her coming but I know how you feel with the frustration of not knowing!

Ahhh we were basically in the same situation apart from the bleeding. At least I'm not the only impatient and frustrated one! Thankyou for the reply x

I’m not sure where you both are with yours now but I am 33+5 and in hospital as we speak!
They gave me the first injection and I’ve been having tightening on the CTG since 1pm every 3/4 mins! But not progressing!
