Hello everjone

I had an early scan a couple of days ago (recurrent miscarriages).

There was a sac and yolk sac inside but no baby yet.

Sonographer said a yolk sac at this stage is a good sign but I've been having a tiny bit of pink blood when I wipe. They said they cannot see where it's coming from and rescan in a couple of weeks.

Has anyone had a scan this early and not seen a baby or fetal pole and got good news?

Thank you

Sorry not experience here OP with the empty scan. I had my Yolk Sac visible still at 11 weeks on my ultrasound, can hang around for a while. I also had light pink blood early on which I was not is normal and it stopped after 8 weeks.

Which I was told is normal*

That wait for next scan can be an anxious wait..! I even regretted going for the early Scan during my week wait.
I had scan and was dated at 5 weeks with only a sac. Went back a week later and had a baby with heartbeat and was told i'm 6+4. So in 7 days I actually progressed 12 days.
Things are so quick moving and tiny at this stage... so nothing to suggest anything is wrong.

Have had two scans at 5 weeks which showed no baby but yolksac have also had bleeding etc and all been OK. Good luck

Had another scan today, baby is only measuring 5w 3d but I'm 6 weeks. Not going to worry too much about that as I know it can be out a few days out.

It took a while but after lots of zooming in, he said the baby is the thick white blob at the top of the sac and we could see a flickering which is the heartbeat.

Thank you for all your messages xx
